Downtown Squamish Redevelopment Plan

Downtown Squamish Redevelopment Plan
British Columbia, Canada

SODC retained INITIAL to provide Retail masterplanning advisory on their planned 20 year redevelopment of oceanfront lands.

The heart of the plan is building community, achieved by creating a place where people will come together to work, to play, to learn and to live. This confluence of uses is anchored by the surrounding water, marking the peninsula as the start of the journey, rather than the end of the road. With 125 hotel units and 1100 residential units planned, this project also contains just over 70,000 square feet of planned retail village space.

Retail master plan, including, participation in the envisioning process evaluation of the project site; full Retail Economic Model; Retail Vision; identification of key anchor retail uses; Retail Neighbourhood Stories; Retail Phasing Plan; Retail Tenant Mix (including sizing of spaces) and Retail Category Layout; Final Retail Master Plan Report.
