Queenstown, with a population of approximately 10,000 people is a world-famous tourist destination both summer and winter. With a vibrant town, skiing, golf, out backing and other outdoor sports as tourism drivers, this retail village master plan was for 42,000 square feet of retail space in a development with 800 new hotel/residential units on the project lands and another 1,900 units surrounding the project lands.
Members of our team leadership were retained by a local developer to provide overall development master planning advice and to create the retail master plan. This included a Retail Economic Model determining demand, market segments, phasing, suggested rents and estimated operating costs, Retail Vision, Retail Neighbourhood Stories, Retail Tenant Mix, Phasing Plan, Retail Category Layout, direction on retail storefronts and exterior spaces and Retail Back of House Plan.
